1:1 Autism Learning Support (Primary)

Do you have a passion for helping every child to have an outstanding education, regardless of their background or ability?
This 2-form entry Primary school located in heart of Tower Hamlets is looking for an experienced and confident ASD Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September! The SENCo at this school is specifically looking for the right LSA to support a female pupil in KS1 who has ASD and is non-verbal. This role will mean you supporting the pupil with her academic and personal development throughout the year.
This school has recently achieved ‘Outstanding’ in their last Ofsted inspection and is a very good team to be a part of.
To be shortlisted for this role you will need to:
**Have experience working within a mainstream Primary school
**Have a minimum of a years’ experience working in KS1
**Be able to support an ASD pupil with their academic developments
**Be able to commit to a full-time role
**Have a DBS on the update service
This school will be looking for a LSA who is committed to their job and who has experience supporting an ASD pupil. You will need to know how to deal with disruptive behaviour and other potential challenges which may present themselves along the way. You must have a real belief inclusion and education for all pupils and demonstrate this through being attentive to the needs of pupils.
