Excellent, full-time opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teacher required for my recently graded “Outstanding School” located in Goodmayes, Essex.

Teacher is to be covering a class of pupils with complex needs with medical needs, they will be following a PMLD curriculum (informal pathway). Teacher will be fully supported by a team of experienced LSAs/ TAs in the class, a group of friendly and experienced teacher as colleagues, and a strong leadership team in this outstanding provision. We would expect the teacher to fulfil all the duties of a teacher, including relevant paperwork/ assessment with appropriate PPA time given.

This post would suit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher with experience teaching a broad and balanced curriculum to students, who all have a statement of special educational needs (SEN) or an education healthcare plan (EHCP). Experience of team teach would be highly advantageous and it is essential you have gained working experience in a special school (not just main stream). The school is a specialist school with a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) for We are a split site special school academy catering for up to 148 children and young people between the ages of two and nineteen years who have a complex learning difficulty, often accompanied by additional special educational needs, which may include.

The school is part of a Multi Academy Trust with two school sites, which are within one mile of each other.

Our school is looking to appoint two SEN Teachers to support a small cohort of secondary students with ASD or PMLD. * Proven SEN teaching experience. (Special School, not just mainstream). *Your practice needs to be good or outstanding and experience of teaching children with PMLD and/or Autism * Successful experience of demonstrating a consistent level of inclusive teaching ensuring delivery of quality lessons that add value to pupils and school. Pupils do make at least good progress in a wide range of subjects, including reading, writing and mathematics. A few pupils make outstanding progress. * Proven record of the effective implementation of and strong commitment to equal opportunities policies. Essential: * Qualified Teachers Status or equivalent teaching degree *Have recent proven experience teaching SEN in a UK-based classroom * Additional qualification in special educational needs (desirable) * Team-Teach Certified (desirable) *Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa) All applicants will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure Procedures and UK eligibility checks.
