Teaching Assistant - Loughton

JDS Recruitment currently in need of a Teaching Assistant in Loughton, Essex

About the role:

• Primary Students with Special Educational Needs that includes Autism, ADHD, and some challenging behaviour

• Available to work a full time for the rest of the summer term

• Immediate start

• Must be patient, resilient and be able to build relationships

• To show initiative proactive and be able to read and respond to situations before they develop

• Team-Teach or any other form of restraint training advantageous but not essential

• Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)

• SEN School, Loughton

• Competitive daily rate

About the School:

• SEN School for predominately primary but a small handful of secondary pupils with autism and complex educational needs.

• Nearest station: Debden or Loughton (Central Line) followed by a short bus journey (car parking also close by to the school)

• The school have an experienced, committed, and approachable team of teachers, therapists, and support staff. They work in partnership with parents and local authorities to offer a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum, as well as practical support and care.

• The school provide a high staff to pupil ratio wherever needed – whether a child requires extra support in a mainstream school or is likely to make more progress at a special school.

• Set in beautiful surroundings on the edge of Epping Forest with daily school transport links to London.
