Full Description

A college based in Harrow are looking for a English Lecturer to teach a range of English courses, including GCSE and Functional Skills Entry and Level 1 – this is an immediate start. 

The college is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, who has a flexible approach to work and be able to work as part of a team. You may be required to work one evening per week or Saturdays.

Lecturer in English  

  • Managing the learning activities of students according to their educational needs
  • Teaching effectively and efficiently on a range of courses
  • Developing, monitoring and evaluating curriculum provision and learning strategies
  • DBS on update service needed
  • Applicants must have a relevant degree and a full teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS)
  • To teach on a range of English courses, including GCSE and Functional Skills at Entry and Level 1
  • Preparing assessment and learning materials
  • Acting as a tutor as required and providing guidance and support for students within the framework of a college tutorial and pastoral care system
