Post Title: Humanities Teacher with QTS – KS3 & KS4

Location: London borough of Newham.

Hours: Full Time (Monday-Friday) 08:30am – 3:30pm (Long-term position with the potential to secure the permanent post)

Salary: Negotiable  

You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to be considered for this position and have at least 6 months experience teaching secondary students with SEMH from either within a SEND or mainstream school environment.

JDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a full-time Humanities Teacher to teach students with Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties within a SEND setting.

This position is based in East Ham, Newham.

Easily Accessible by public transport and parking in & around the school.

The school has been rated Good from OFSTED.

Each class has around 4-6 students who are supported with HLTA’s, teaching assistants and a behaviour lead.

This role is to start from Monday 15th April 2024.

– The ideal teacher can be a specialist in either Religious Education, Geography or History but the timetable will mainly be Religious Education.

– To teach students in KS3 – KS4 with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

– To start from 15th April until July 2024 (Long-term position with the potential to secure the permanent post)

– Must be available to work full-time (term-time only) – Monday to Friday.

– This is a very challenging role and due to the severity of the student’s needs, they are prone to swearing and violence but extremely rewarding.

Requirements:

– Humanities Teacher to teach Religious Education; KS3 – KS4.

– All-through SEND school

– Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

– Must be available to start work full-time from 15th April 2024. 

– Long-term position with the view to secure the permanent post.

– Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm (1 hour lunch)

– Nearest Station: East Ham station (Parking available on site).

– Must have at least 6 months UK teaching experience teaching secondary students and previous experience either teaching or supporting students with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

This role will be to start from 15th April 24 subject to clear enhanced DBS and referencing checks.
