JDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Secondary Teacher of Science that specialises in Chemistry to work on a full-time basis at our secondary school based in Tower Hamlets, East London.

This role will be to start from Monday 19th February 2024.

This role will be to teach KS3 upwards, and the teacher must be able to teach Chemistry.

Post Title: Secondary Teacher of Science that specialises in Chemistry.

Pay:  Negotiable

Job Requirements:

– Must be able to teach Chemistry.

– Mainstream secondary school in Tower Hamlets.

– Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

– Must be available to start work immediately (Pending clear and enhanced checks.)

– Long-term position up until at least July 2024.

– Hours: 8am – 4pm

– Excellent transport links– No parking available on site.

– Must have at least 6 months UK teaching experience teaching Chemistry to secondary students

Person Spec:

– Educated to Degree level or equivalent

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

– Must have experience teaching Secondary Teacher of Science that specialises in Chemistry syllabus to secondary students from KS3 upwards.

– A proven track record of implementing effective strategies to include and meet the needs of all students to raise achievement.

– High quality Chemistry teaching to pupils of all abilities

– Must be well organised.

– Develop and understanding of developments in the UK National Curriculum.

– Effective strategies for supporting staff to improve teaching and learning.

– Understanding of different social backgrounds of pupils.

– To monitor the overall development of students as a qualified secondary teacher and their personal and academic growth.

– You will have continued staff development within the role.

– Must be able to motivate students and raise aspirations.
