JDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for two SEND Teaching Assistants for a SEND school in Tower Hamlets.

• SEND School – caters for students with PMLD and complex needs.
• Easily Accessible by public transport.
• Immediate starts or from January 2024
• Long term roles
• Must be happy to carry out personal care duties as required.
• £88 – £95 per day
• Classroom Support – KS1, KS2 OR KS3, KS4
• 1:1 or group work support
• Full time; 8.30am – 3.30pm (Term Time only) Monday to Friday.
• Candidates must hold a clear & enhanced DBS.

To support SEND students in KS1 – KS2 OR KS3-KS4 with special educational needs including Autism, PMLD & Complex needs.

These roles will require talented SEND Teaching Assistants who are flexible, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential, while remaining engaged in their learning.

Applicants desired must possess a minimum of 3 months experience working with children within a school setting as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

The role will include:

• 1:1 work with students who require additional support
• Leading group work as a SEND Teaching Assistant
• Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation and resources.
• Toileting, feeding or personal care duties as required.
