JDS Recruitment are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Primary PRU based in Chingford.

  • Chingford Primary PRU School
  • Teaching Assistant
  • P/T 1:1 for a year 2 child with autism and has recently been excluded from mainstream school.
  • The successful candidate would need to be experienced in working with a child with ASD.
  • Immediate Start
  • Long Term and Part-Time opportunity (Mon-Wed) – 3 days per week
  • Excellent rate of pay
  • Hours – 8:30 – 3:30pm

About the School

We are a small school with big dreams and aspirations.

Primary school which encompasses a KS1 Nurture Group, a KS2 PRU and a KS2 SEMH provision.  Our school is underpinned by Nurture Group principles.

We believe that secure, nurturing relationships and consistency are vital in enhancing children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and mental health development.

The school are based in Chingford which provides education to young people aged 5-11 years from across Waltham Forest who are not in mainstream provision.

Many of our young people have experienced previous difficulties in mainstream school with their learning and behaviour. We ensure that all young people are given a fresh start and are supported to achieve their goals and successfully transition either back to mainstream, an Alternative Provision college course or special school.

Are you passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their lives? We are currently looking for a TA to join our PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) team.

As a TA in our school, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children who have been excluded from mainstream education. You will support their learning and development, helping them to build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
