We’re currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team at a purpose-built SEMH school in Harlow. Opened in 2023 and now part of a well-established and highly respected Trust, the school supports up to 64 pupils, including residential provision for 15. It is committed to stand-out education, relentless pastoral care, and creating a climate of high expectation and possibility.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to:

  • Re-engage pupils with learning through personalised support
  • Develop students’ social, emotional, and behavioural skills
  • Deliver academic and enrichment activities that build confidence and independence
  • Support students 1:1 or in small groups
  • Implement consistent and effective behaviour management strategies
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH and/or SEND
  • Is calm, empathetic, and confident in managing behaviour
  • Can build strong, respectful relationships with pupils
  • Is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
  • Works well in a team environment and takes guidance from teaching staff
